Jack Daniel has been in the Charlotte market his entire life. His voice has been heard on Charlotte airwaves since 1975. Few radio voices are able to stay in one place their entire career. Jack is blessed to say that he has been able to keep his career "right in his own backyard". Jack grew up listening to BIG WAYS Radio on 610 AM and dreaming of one day working there. After college radio at East Carolina and local radio in Greenville, N.C., Jack worked his way back through Rocky Mount, N.C. and York, S.C. before landing at WPEG-WEGO in his hometown of Concord in 1975. In 1979 his dream came true (sort of) as he landed at WAYS-WROQ, but now it was the FM station, WROQ that was the market's leading Album Rock outlet. By 1979, AM Radio had changed and the station he had grown up with was on the decline and was destined to become a talk station. In any event, Jack was fortunate to work with Murphy In The Morning and Larry Sprinkle to name a few and before WAYS turned to talk in mid 1982, he had the chance to do several shifts on that "larger than life" station of his youth. From WROQ, Jack had stints at WJZR (Z100) , WBCY, WRFX, WEDJ and in 1995 embarked on the longest station run of his career when he helped launch the markets first ever Alt Rock station, WEND (The End). Jack spent 22 years at the helm of 1065 The End. Let Jack's familiar voice go to work for your business. Satisfaction is a click away.
